Summary
In this episode, Cory and Laine talk about how the Hellmouth didn’t send forth a demon, but a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tubeman, complete with raptor noises! We also discuss why Joyce thought it was ok to buy her daughter a wedding dress for the dance, and do we really need The Anointed in this at all?!

Think about this: If Xander had of stayed in his room sulking and Buffy went out and died; that would say a lot about his character. Not in a good way. For someone just watching it, it would look like he was so wrapped up in her rejecting his proposal of romance, that their friendship came second. He would have felt guilty. She may have had some feelings about it. Things wouldn’t have been the same.
By him saving her, and her being happy to see him….it says he let it go and put their friendship, their mission, and his place in the Scoobies first. That moment when she says, “Xander.” They are both moving past it.
